Global Warming Effects On Animals

The effects of global warming here on earth are an undisputed fact. For us to understand global warming, let's understand what greenhouse effect is. Greenhouse effect, the rise of the temperature which is caused by the absorption of Sun's heat as well as the light of the earth's surface which is reflected back then trapped within earth's atmosphere. Greenhouse gases are helping the earth to keep it warm; it's the reason why life in earth existed until now. However, with the increase of gases like the carbon dioxide, the ozone, the nitrous oxide, the methane and the water vapour in our atmosphere, results to the growing of environmental pollution; the earth has gotten for about 14% hotter compared to the last 50 years on earth.

Global warming effects on animals must also be our concern aside from the effects it causes to human beings and plants. Animals are also essential in maintaining the circle in the life and in the food chain. Animals, plants as well as human beings are interdependent with each other.

Global warming effects on animals:

Global Warming Effects On Animals
  1. Loss of animals' habitat and their food. Many of the forests, grasslands as well as deserts, made habitable for human alone. The rainforests and the grasslands support the many of the forms of life; it is the home of tiny insects as well as the grizzly bears. If forests will be cleared out for the development of more land aiming for domestic constructions, for industrial purposes and farming, animals will loose their homes and foods. Their loss of the habitat will also make the animals to be vulnerable of being hunted, it may be in their little space or whenever they get close to the human habitats when searching for their food. Because of deforestation, many of the trees and the other plants which provide food to the herbivorous animals will not exist anymore, causing death because of starvation as well as malnutrition. The omnivorous and the carnivorous animals will also be affected and eventually will get extinct. Many of the animals, who venture food for human habitat, will eat their food from garbage. This will affect greatly to our health.
  2. Hibernation, the breeding and the migration. The unhealthy pattern will affect the newborn. The devastation of migratory routes and the habitat will be forced to migrate because of these global warming effects on animals. These cause them of seeking alternative migration for habitats, so they can eat complete food as well as shelter. The aquatic mammals will also prefer in the warmer waters for them to breed and hibernate.

All of us are affected with global warming. The differences in its effect to us are that we can have profound effect in the way the global warming issues are being tackled. However, global warming effects on animals can have serious of repercussions in the entire of life cycle.
